€8,500 EV grants in new first come, first served scrappage plan

The owners of the over 13 years old petrol and diesel cars are to be eligible for grants of €8,500 to purchase a new electric vehicle (EV) under a new Limited Time SEAI State Scrappage Scheme.
In new scrappage plan, a €3,500 grant is to be offered on first come, first served basis to those purchasing an EV, which is set to fall from €60,000 to €50,000 from July 31st.
